FOOTPRINTS CHILD CARE CENTER (Footprints Child Care Center)

Observation

(1)(a) Dining chairs, highchairs and food preparation counters had accumulated debris and grime on them. Tables in the eating/school age room were no longer moisture resistant and so, are not easily cleanable. (1)(b) Water bottles and sippy cups in a tub in the eating/school age room had been chewed on the top and were no longer easily cleanable. (1)(c) Used pacifiers were on the floor in the infant room. (1)(d) Small appliances used to cook food in the eating room/school age room were visibly dirty with food and accumulated debris on them. (1)(e) Refrigerators used to store food in the eating/school age room were visibly dirty. (1)(f) Freezers used to store food in the eating/school age room were visibly dirty. (1)(g) Toys and toy shelves throughout the center had visibe dirt and built up grime on them. Cardboard blocks in the preschool room were damaged and no longer cleanable. (1)(h) Walls, light switches, door handles and baseboards throughout the center had dirt, sticky surfaces and a buildup of grime on them. Cabinets in the hallway used for dish storage were visibly dirty. The top and sides of a cabinet in the infant room were covered in a brown adhesive and not cleanable. Heating registers were visibly dirty. (8) Garbage and trash cans were visibly dirty. (10) Floors did not appear to be swept, mopped and sanitized daily. Rugs did not appear to be vaccumed daily. (15) Utility sink in the hallway was dirty. (16) Bathroom sinks, floors, step stools, baseboards, walls, toilet bases and toilet training seat were visibly unclean. The cabinet around the diaper hand washing sink in the toddler room has lost its finish and is no longer moisture resistant or cleanable.
